# Install and requirements

3D-Agent ([3d-agent.com](https://3d-agent.com)) runs on macOS and Windows and works with Blender 4.2 or later.

## System requirements

Get Blender from [blender.org](https://www.blender.org/download/) or Steam. The Microsoft Store version isn't supported. There's no Linux version of 3D-Agent.

## Install on macOS

1. Download the installer from [3d-agent.com/download](https://3d-agent.com/download). It works on Apple Silicon and Intel.
2. Open the `.dmg` and drag **3D-Agent** into **Applications**.
3. Open 3D-Agent.
4. When macOS asks to let 3D-Agent find devices on your local network, click **Allow**. 3D-Agent needs this [permission](https://3d-agent.com/docs/permissions) to talk to Blender.

## Install on Windows

1. Download the installer from [3d-agent.com/download](https://3d-agent.com/download).
2. Run the `.msi` and follow the installer.
3. On **You're all set**, keep **Launch 3D-Agent** checked and close the installer.

3D-Agent installs for all users in `Program Files\3D-Agent`. If Windows asks to let it through the firewall, allow it on private networks. See [Permissions](https://3d-agent.com/docs/permissions).

## First launch

1. [Sign in](https://3d-agent.com/docs/account) with Google or with email and password.
2. Choose a [plan](https://3d-agent.com/docs/plans-and-limits) if you don't have one.
3. Open Blender. 3D-Agent installs its `agent_3d` extension and [connects](https://3d-agent.com/docs/connect-blender).

## Uninstall

- **macOS:** quit 3D-Agent and drag it from **Applications** to the Trash.
- **Windows:** use **Uninstall 3D-Agent** in the Start menu, or **Settings** → **Apps**.
