# Plans and limits

Every 3D-Agent ([3d-agent.com](https://3d-agent.com)) plan gives you a number of prompts each month. One prompt is one message you send, however much work the agent does for it, up to your plan's step limit.

## Compare plans

| | Basic | Pro | Ultra |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Price | $19/month | $29/month | $89/month |

Pro and Ultra are also yearly: $264/year for Pro and $708/year for Ultra. See current prices on [3d-agent.com/pricing](https://3d-agent.com/pricing).

There's no daily limit. Use your prompts whenever you like during the month.

## What uses a prompt

These use 1 prompt each:

- A message you send, with every step the agent runs for it, up to your plan's limit.
- **Continue generating** after a turn stops at the step limit. It starts a new turn.
- A task that an app like Claude Code hands to 3D-Agent. See [External agents](https://3d-agent.com/docs/external-agents).

These don't:

- Answering a question from the agent. The app says so under the question: "Answering doesn't use a prompt credit."
- A turn that fails before it starts working, or breaks on a server or provider error. The prompt is returned.

A turn you stop or disconnect yourself isn't returned.

## Steps per prompt

A step is one internal action, like reading the scene, running code in Blender or checking a render. Your plan caps the steps per prompt.

At the cap, the chat shows **Paused after 30 steps** (or 80, or 100). Your progress is saved. Click **Continue generating** to keep going for 1 more prompt.

On Pro and Ultra, you can lower the cap to spend less per prompt. See [Agent settings](https://3d-agent.com/docs/agent-settings).

## When prompts reset

- **Monthly plans** reset on your billing date.
- **Yearly plans** get a fresh monthly allowance on the same day each month, or the last day in shorter months.
- Unused prompts don't carry over.
- Upgrading resets your count to zero right away. Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal.

**Prompt usage** in **Settings** → **Account** shows how many you've used, your total and the reset date. You also get an email when you've used 80%.

When you run out, the app shows **Monthly limit reached**. Upgrade, or wait for the reset.

## First-month boost

On Basic and Pro, your first 5 prompts in your first month run with the next plan's limits:

| Plan | Boosted to |
| --- | --- |
| **Basic** | Pro's 80 steps and 2 subagents |
| **Pro** | Ultra's 100 steps and 4 subagents |

The composer shows how many boosted prompts are left. A failed prompt doesn't count against the boost. When the boost ends, the app shows **Your boost is complete**, and your plan's usual limits apply.
