# Poly Haven

The Poly Haven plugin brings free HDRIs, textures and models from [Poly Haven](https://polyhaven.com) into your open Blender scene. Everything on Poly Haven is CC0, so you need no account, key or credit.

Install it from [Plugins](https://3d-agent.com/docs/plugins).

## Ask for an asset

Name what you want in plain words:

> Add a Poly Haven sunset HDRI for the lighting.

> Give the selected floor a Poly Haven wood planks texture.

> Add a Poly Haven potted plant next to the sofa.

The agent searches Poly Haven, picks a result and imports it. It names the asset and its author in its reply.

## What each asset type does

| Type | What lands in your scene |
| --- | --- |
| HDRI | Becomes the world environment and lights the whole scene. It adds no objects. |
| Texture | Becomes a new material with color, roughness, metallic, normal and displacement maps. |
| Model | Its objects are added to the scene. |

An HDRI replaces the nodes in your scene's world. If you built a custom world setup, save your `.blend` first.

A texture material stays unassigned unless you ask for it on the selected objects. Say *on the selected objects* in your prompt.

A model lands at the scene origin unless you give a position.

## Resolution

Downloads default to 2K, which suits most scenes. Ask for 4K only for a hero asset seen up close.

- Each download is limited to 96 MB, so an 8K HDRI usually fails. Ask for a lower resolution.
- If the size you ask for doesn't exist, the agent imports the closest one and tells you.

Textures are packed into your `.blend`, so the file still works when you move it.
