# Quickstart

Install 3D-Agent ([3d-agent.com](https://3d-agent.com)), sign in and open Blender. The app sets up its Blender extension for you.

## What you need

- Blender 4.2 or later, free from [blender.org](https://www.blender.org/download/)
- macOS 12 or later, or 64-bit Windows 10 or later, with 8 GB of RAM. See [Install and requirements](https://3d-agent.com/docs/install).
- A paid plan. See [Plans and limits](https://3d-agent.com/docs/plans-and-limits).

## Set up

### 1. Download and install

Download the installer from [3d-agent.com/download](https://3d-agent.com/download). On macOS, open the `.dmg` and drag **3D-Agent** into **Applications**. On Windows, run the `.msi`.

### 2. Sign in

Open 3D-Agent and sign in with Google or with email and password. Choose a plan if you don't have one.

### 3. Open Blender

3D-Agent installs its `agent_3d` extension and connects. **Connected to Blender** appears briefly, with your Blender version.

### 4. Check the connection

Send this prompt:

> What objects are in the current scene?

If 3D-Agent describes your scene, you're set.

### 5. Build something

> A modern house with a glass facade and a rooftop garden.

3D-Agent builds it in your open scene.

If 3D-Agent can't find Blender, see [Blender won't connect](https://3d-agent.com/docs/blender-wont-connect).
