Best AI 3D Model Generators in 2026
Five tools, compared on what each one documents it can do. If you model in Blender and want to keep editing what comes out, 3D-Agent is the one to download.
- Blender 4.2+
- macOS 12+ / Windows 10+
- Result stays editable in your open scene
- Paid plan for prompts
Quick picks
Start with how you work: inside Blender, in a browser, through an API, from images, or from text. These picks use the capabilities each tool documents.
Best for Blender workflows
3D-Agent
A desktop app for macOS and Windows that drives Blender 4.2 or later. You write the brief, Blender carries it out in the scene you already have open, and the result stays there as ordinary Blender objects. There is no export and re-import step, because the file never leaves Blender.
- You already work in Blender and want to keep editing the result there
- You want to change a scene you have already built, not only make a new object
- You would rather describe repetitive Blender work than script it by hand
Good fit for text, image and multi-image input
Meshy
Meshy documents text-to-3D, image-to-3D and multi-image-to-3D, plus AI texturing and model processing, through its API. Its text-to-3D documentation lists the longest set of export targets in the table below: GLB, OBJ, FBX, STL, USDZ and 3MF.
- You are building generation into your own product through an API
- You need STL or 3MF alongside the usual GLB, OBJ and FBX
- You want to start from one reference photo or several
Good fit for multiview input and post-generation control
Tripo
Tripo documents text, image and multiview input. Its model documentation lists retopology, face-count control, format conversion, texturing and rig or animation workflows after generation, and billing is usage and credit based.
- You have several reference views of the same object
- You want retopology or face-count control on the vendor side
- You need a rig or animation workflow from the same tool
Good fit for exploring text and image generation first
Hyper3D Rodin
Hyper3D publishes a free tier for basic image-to-3D and text-to-3D exploration with pay-by-result behaviour, then paid Creator and Business tiers. API access is documented on the Business tier.
- You want to try text and image generation before committing to a plan
- You would rather read a published tier list than model credit usage
- You need API access and the Business tier suits you
Good fit for a browser-only workflow
Sloyd
Sloyd documents browser-based text-to-3D with exports to GLB, FBX, OBJ and STL, and there is nothing to install before you try it.
- You do not want to install anything
- You are not working in Blender and just need a mesh file
- You want text-to-3D without writing an integration

Every value links to the page it came from, because one vendor URL does not document a whole column. The 3D-Agent column links to our own pages on this site. We do not control the vendor pages, so each value is re-checked when this guide is updated.
How to choose in four questions
The answers all come from the table above, so you can check any of them yourself.
Where does the model have to end up?
If the answer is a Blender scene you keep working in, choose 3D-Agent: it drives Blender itself, so the result arrives as ordinary Blender objects and there is no export and re-import step. If it has to reach a game engine or another pipeline as a file, compare the export rows for Meshy, Tripo and Sloyd.
What are you starting from?
A written brief works with all five. If you are starting from photographs, Meshy documents image and multi-image input and Tripo documents image and multiview, so those are the two to look at first. Hyper3D Rodin documents text and image.
What are you willing to install?
Sloyd's source documents a browser workflow. The saved Meshy, Tripo and Hyper3D Rodin sources document API surfaces; that does not mean those products lack browser apps. 3D-Agent is a desktop app for macOS 12 or later and Windows 10 or later, and it needs Blender 4.2 or later on the same machine.
How do you want to pay?
Meshy and Tripo document credit and usage based billing, which is worth modelling against how much you generate. Hyper3D publishes a free tier and paid tiers. 3D-Agent uses monthly plans with included prompt allowances, so compare the plans by how many prompts you expect to use.
