Changelog

What's new in 3D-Agent — new features, improvements, and fixes in every release.

2.0.34

August 15, 2026

New

  • The Permissions tab is now a one-click repair screen: it shows exactly what 3D-Agent still needs and fixes it for you, instead of leaving you to hunt through System Settings.
  • Blender can be restarted from inside 3D-Agent, and your work is preserved across the restart.

Improved

  • Signing in is immediate again — the roughly seven-second spinner after login is gone.
  • When a chat gets long enough to slow down, the warning now offers a plain "start a new chat" button right there.
  • The card that explains why a turn stopped is calmer and says what actually happened in plain language.
  • Scene thumbnails in checkpoints now match the colours you see in Blender instead of coming out dark.

Fixed

  • A corrupted saved session no longer breaks the app. Previously a single damaged file could make every prompt fail in every chat — surviving new chats, restarts, and even a reinstall — while the error promised a recovery that never happened. 3D-Agent now sets the damaged file aside automatically, keeps a copy for support, and carries on with your prompt. The file that stores your chat history also stays a healthy size on its own now.
  • The photo of your Blender scene stays attached to the turn that produced it, even if you navigate away mid-turn or restart the app.
  • File links in chat reveal the file on your computer instead of trying to open a browser.

Thanks

  • Thanks to Fastrix_Official for reporting the corrupted-session failure and sending us the damaged file, which pinned down the exact cause.

2.0.33

August 11, 2026

New

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay now appear as express buttons at checkout, so you can subscribe in one tap on devices that support them.
  • Drag and drop documents straight onto the chat box or a project's Files panel.

Improved

  • Pro and Ultra now use Extra-high reasoning by default; you can still switch back to High from the prompt box at any time.
  • Checkout is cleaner: a simpler header while you're signed in, and the fine print under the pay button no longer repeats itself.
  • After you sign in through your browser, the app comes back to the front on its own, and the browser page now has an "Open 3D-Agent" button to bring you back.
  • Very large requests are now turned away with a clear error instead of disrupting responses that are already streaming.

Fixed

  • Uploading documents works again, both in a project's Files panel and in a single chat: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, HTML, and text or code files are read and used as context, with a clear message when a file cannot be read.
  • Projects you create now survive a restart, and projects that had disappeared come back on first launch.
  • File links in chat now work: they render as real links and reveal the file in Finder or File Explorer, instead of showing greyed-out text marked "[blocked]".
  • Upgrading after a declined card now works on the next attempt instead of repeating the same decline for the rest of the day.
  • In plan mode, the chat no longer pins a photo of the Blender scene from an earlier turn; the scene photo appears once the work actually runs.

Thanks

  • Thanks to Alvaro B. for reporting the failed upgrade after a declined card.

2.0.32

August 2, 2026

Improved

  • Blender connection alerts now stay visible while Blender is disconnected, so a broken connection cannot be lost from view.

Fixed

  • The in-app log view and bug-report attachments now find the current log file again after an update, so problems can be diagnosed without extra back-and-forth.

2.0.31

July 25, 2026

New

  • Heavy chats now warn you before they reach the message-size limit, with a one-click way to continue in a fresh chat when the warning becomes urgent.

Fixed

  • Chats now recover from corrupted tool screenshots, and invalid Blender screenshots can no longer poison future messages.

2.0.24

July 22, 2026

New

  • After agent turns that change the Blender scene, a clickable snapshot of the result now appears directly in chat, making it easier to see and revisit what changed.

Improved

  • The **Checkpoints** control now lives beside **Plan** in the prompt toolbar, keeping scene history close at hand without covering the workspace.
  • On Windows, the Checkpoints panel now clears the minimize, maximize, and close controls, keeping its own search and close actions accessible.

2.0.23

July 21, 2026

New

  • Fresh chats now run on GPT-5.6 Sol, with High and Extra High reasoning plus native multi-agent and Blender tools. Existing chats keep their original model so ongoing work does not change underneath you.
  • When a chat grows beyond the model's history limit, 3D-Agent now explains what happened and offers **Continue in new chat**, carrying your last prompt over as an editable draft instead of leaving the conversation stuck.
  • After checkout, the browser now brings you straight back to 3D-Agent and refreshes your access immediately. Canceled checkouts also have a clear route back to the app.

Improved

  • The Checkpoints panel now uses a flatter, cleaner list, shows the open `.blend` file name, and keeps search tucked behind a button until you need it. The History chip also sits neatly inside the app edge instead of being cut off.
  • Hovering a **Checkpoint saved** chip now shows the date and time that checkpoint was created.

Fixed

  • Checkpoint image previews that could appear completely black on some graphics hardware now detect the bad capture and automatically try a reliable fallback.
  • The pricing-page logo carousel no longer flashes, jumps, or scrolls blank logo slots into view while images load.
  • Message edit, delete, and regenerate controls are now correctly hidden in production builds.
  • Expected Windows connection resets during agent shutdown no longer generate misleading error reports, while real connection failures remain visible.

Thanks

  • Thanks to Epir for reporting the large-chat failure.

2.0.22

July 20, 2026

New

  • Checkpoints: 3D-Agent now automatically saves a checkpoint of your Blender scene after every turn. Open the new History handle at the chat's edge to see what changed each turn, search by object name, and restore any earlier version with one click — your history never leaves your machine.
  • Variations: ask the agent to build variations of your scene and switch between them without losing progress — each set appears as cards right in the chat and in the History panel.
  • "When did it break?": the agent can now walk back through your checkpoints with you to pinpoint the exact turn where something went wrong.
  • A new Settings → Checkpoints page shows how much space your scene history uses, with a health check and storage controls.
  • Rate any result with a quick thumbs up or down — a thumbs-down offers one-tap categories so the agent learns exactly what to improve.

Improved

  • The agent brings specialized know-how to 13 kinds of Blender work — 3D printing, game assets, characters, rigging, architecture, product design, jewelry, vehicles, furniture, weapons and props, scenes, texturing, and logos/text — for better results in each.
  • While Blender connects, the banner is clearer: links look pressable, the "connects automatically" reassurance leads, and a brief "Connected to Blender" confirmation appears when the connection recovers.
  • Catalan, Czech, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Indonesian, and Japanese caught up with English — hundreds of previously untranslated strings per language now show in your language, and a few dialogs no longer display raw formatting code.

Fixed

  • On some machines the message box could stay locked with no explanation when 3D-Agent couldn't check Blender's status. It now shows the "Searching for a connection with Blender…" notice with one-click actions to open or download Blender instead of staying silent.

2.0.20

July 12, 2026

Improved

  • Blender connection messages are calmer — instead of a red error card, you now see a quiet loader with a clear next step (an "Open Blender" link, or a download link when your Blender is too old) while it connects.
  • Chats packed with Blender screenshots are faster and more reliable — screenshots now travel in a lighter format, so image-heavy conversations no longer stall or fail.

Fixed

  • Hitting a step limit now shows a calm check-in card instead of a red "internal error" — and continuing no longer re-charges your whole turn.
  • Pressing "Continue" after the agent pauses (a step limit, a retry, a cancel) now resumes your real conversation instead of forgetting everything and starting a blank one.
  • A brief connection hiccup no longer kicks you to the full "sign-in no longer authorized" screen — you now see a quick "Reconnecting your session…" that clears itself.
  • Selecting Català now actually switches the app to Catalan.
  • Code blocks stay left-to-right and readable even inside Arabic or Hebrew replies.
  • A single misbehaving extension can no longer blank out the whole app while it loads.
  • Messages no longer occasionally disappear after a reload when an edit and its creation arrive at the same time.

2.0.19

July 9, 2026

New

  • Reference a Blender scene object right from the chat box — type `@` to mention a specific object (like `@Car Body` or `@Camera`) so the agent knows exactly what to act on.

Fixed

  • Long, heavy chats no longer fail on every turn — very large conversations now go through reliably instead of getting stuck.
  • Opening 3D-Agent while Blender is already running no longer flashes a false "extension not responding" error — you now see a calm "Searching for a connection with Blender…" loader while it connects.
  • Canceling your subscription from the billing portal is now recognized correctly, so your plan status stays accurate.
  • The assistant no longer slips internal codenames into its answers when you ask what it is.

Thanks

  • Thanks to etwin30 for reporting the large-chat failures.

2.0.18

July 9, 2026

Fixed

  • Fixed the recurring "Connection interrupted — Retry" outages that could stop prompts from responding — the connection now recovers on its own and stays stable.
  • Your plan no longer briefly flashes as locked when your session quietly refreshes in the background.
  • Your subscription status now stays accurate as your billing period changes, so an active plan keeps working the way it should.

Thanks

  • Thanks to G. Lima for reporting the subscription status issues.

2.0.17

July 7, 2026

New

  • Watch the agent think: its reasoning and plan now stream in live as it works through your request, so you can follow along instead of waiting on a silent screen.

Improved

  • The activity shown while the agent works is calmer and clearer — reasoning takes center stage, the distracting elapsed timer is gone, and repeated status lines are collapsed into one.
  • Prompts recover more smoothly when the service is briefly busy or your session needs refreshing, so momentary rate limits cause fewer interruptions.

Fixed

  • A reply that was still arriving when your connection dropped is now delivered instead of being lost.

2.0.16

July 6, 2026

New

  • A live activity card now shows what the agent is doing during longer turns — a working indicator, an elapsed timer, and the steps it has finished — so you can tell real progress from a stall.

Improved

  • Plan cards on the dashboard now match the app, with full feature lists, plan badges, and clearer upgrade options.

Fixed

  • Opening the app with Blender closed no longer briefly flashes the wrong Blender message before settling on the correct one.
  • The app now connects reliably on networks that inspect secure traffic (corporate proxies, antivirus HTTPS scanning) that previously blocked sign-in for some users.
  • Sending a message now jumps the conversation to your newest message, so you always see it — and the reply start — even when scrolled up in history.
  • Pasting text that's too long for the model now shows a clear message right away instead of quietly retrying several times.

2.0.15

July 5, 2026

New

  • A "View Changelog" button now appears when an update is ready, so you can see what's new in each release.

Improved

  • Prompts respond faster and stay responsive during long, multi-step tasks, thanks to a new real-time streaming connection.

Fixed

  • Reaching your plan's step limit now shows a clear check-in card — keep going or upgrade — instead of a confusing red error.
  • Chats that used to get stuck showing an "internal error" on every message now recover on their own and keep working.

2.0.14

July 4, 2026

New

  • In plan mode, the agent now asks clarifying questions right in the chat before it writes a plan — pick an answer or type your own, so the plan matches what you actually want.
  • Answering those plan-mode questions is free and never uses a prompt credit.
