Plugins

BlenderKit

The BlenderKit plugin adds free models, materials and HDRIs from BlenderKit  to your open Blender scene. You don’t need a BlenderKit account.

Install

  1. Open Blender 4.2 or later.
  2. In 3D-Agent, open Plugins and click Install on BlenderKit.

Installing the plugin also installs and turns on the official BlenderKit extension in Blender. If 3D-Agent can’t find Blender in its usual install folder, or finds a version older than 4.2, the install fails with That didn’t go through.

The plugin shows Ready only while Blender is running with the 3D-Agent extension connected. See Plugin status.

Ask for an asset

Add four free chairs from BlenderKit around the table.

Find a BlenderKit marble material for the countertop.

Use a BlenderKit HDRI for an overcast sky.

The agent searches BlenderKit, picks a result and adds it to the scene. Models land at the scene origin unless you give a position.

Free assets only

The plugin returns only assets that download for free without an account. If nothing matches, the agent says so and tries a broader search.

Each BlenderKit asset has its own license. The agent names every asset it imports so you know what’s in your scene. Check an asset’s license on BlenderKit before you use it commercially.

If it doesn’t work

  • “BlenderKit Client is not accessible”: BlenderKit’s background service is still starting. Wait a moment and ask again.
  • “BlenderKit requires an open 3D viewport”: open a 3D Viewport in Blender and ask again.
  • A search or import times out: try a more specific search, or ask again.
